We spoke last time on charging as a Psychic Medium and yes i know the opinions are very split but let it be your choice. Today i know everyone will be happy —we will go through 7 simple days to balance your energy when working from a heart place and not charging money.
We’ll dive straight → here are the 7 ways - we’ll go through each after:
1. Voluntary Charity Donations
2. Skill Exchange
3. Requesting Feedback
4. Public Reviews and Testimonials
5. Social Media Engagement (shares, likes, comments)
6. Referrals to Friends
7. Meaningful Introductions
It’s such an incredible gesture to give to the ones in need from a place of love —your time and energy. But please take a sustainable approach to your practice to ensure you can continue to serve long-term.

Let’s go through each ways that i personally find realistic in my life —I have integrated each of them over 2 decades of generously giving and charging money too so I know what works for me. See these as optional and try some that make you happy.
Voluntary Charity Donations
I find it for me to be the best as it still involves money energy in helping a good cause of their choice. Any amount they choose. Absolutely voluntarily before or after they work with you.
Optional of course but i find it that many will donate even $1 which is awesome the goodness can go a long way.
Together you are helping others. And it will definitely help to balance your time. The exchange is honest and really focused in kindness and giving.
If you are contemplating going pro or charging in the future for me this is the best mindful offering exchange you can do. It will prepare you for the future you are very much working with an audience in a realistic scenario (not practice)
I think there is a win-win for everyone. Even the ones we don’t know will receive support.
Skill Exchange
Another personal favorite skill exchange is so powerful! See it this way I will dedicate 30minutes for 30minutes of your time.
If you are to offer a reading, a healing session, a spiritual coaching session you can ask to learn something back or get help.
Here is an example:
I will offer you 30 minutes mediumship session in exchange for 30 minutes teaching me how to work with Canva to create beautiful flyers
I know this makes the idea very clear 🙂 Yes, it is so wonderful to give but as empaths is difficult to receive. Please ask more often. And see the skill exchange as you see it fit for you.
Requesting Feedback
This one is a time exchange. If you are practicing or launching a service or a course is crucial to receive honest early feedback.
Here is an example:
I will offer you 30 minutes psychic session in exchange for 20 minutes of your time where i can go over through the information i provided, what i did right, what was not so right, what you felt in working with me, where could i improve, should i charge for this work? if yes how much do you feel comfortable paying in the future?
It creates a perfect blend of experience, time and energy exchange. We need honest constant feedback. Our friends can be generous to support us but is often we get the most value from people who do not know us.
Feedback helps you improve your service.
Think about it, you might hear how you sound but you can be perceived differently by others. You should know these.
Is there an actual need for your development course? what if most people are looking for on demand replay video instead of live classes? So it can be applied in so many cases.
So ask early and often. It shows care to your client (or sitter or friend) and dedication to your work. Most don’t ask so you can definitely add these to your professional stack. 🚀
Public Reviews and Testimonials
Testimonials are key to everything they usually dictate if someone should hire you or even get a free service from you. We all love those 5 stars ratings!!
An excellent exchange for your time and energy!
An important aspect of any work - holistic or not - If nobody has anything good to say about you what does that say about you?
We first check reviews/testimonials of restaurants, venues, movies, and services. An absolute must to ask for reviews or testimonials of your service.
And while is so important almost nobody asks for a testimonial either written or video.
Leave it as maybe they will leave one…
Please change this approach. It’s only fair to make an welcoming ask.

Social Media Engagement
Yes! Share, Like and Comment! Are crucial! Support is absolutely necessary when going online!
Most platforms will only recommend your content or your free service only if they think others will benefit from you. They call these algorithms.
When someone engages with your content (shares your work, likes your posts, comments when you post) it tells the platform this content is valuable please show it to others!!
If nobody does any engagement it will just die like the other millions of posts out there
It’s such a small ask it often takes a few seconds to do all of these.
When you offer your 30min for free ask them —please spare a few seconds to engage with my content if you benefited from my service it helps others find the help you found today!
And this support should be often not just on day one. Its really meaningful and extremely helpful and i would say a good exchange for your service!
We greatly depend on platforms such as facebook, instagram, linkedin, youtube etc but we will easily be buried in the millions of posts and videos daily —I know your mission is to serve even if it’s for free this is such a small ask for such an incredible help in terms of how many people you can reach.
It will definitely make you comfortable too knowing people find your service valuable!

Referrals to Friends
Or word of mouth. Everyone knows someone! And absolutely their friends will need your service too!
When offering your service ask either before or after the session if they would feel comfortable sharing your profile with 1 or 2 of their friends who will benefit from your service! I know for certain a few friends who would really like free readings!!
It’s still a balance of the energy! And now you can help even more people that did not know of you before! Now their friends will receive the healing they might need too! And follow and support your work. Remember - Together we are strong!!
And to be fair some people might even want to pay if you allow them to.
So make an ask if possible not mandatory.
Meaningful Introductions
Someone knows someone who can be good to be introduced to ask for an introduction to the kind neighbor who does the lawn. YES! Offer your service for free but ask if possible to be introduced too!
You might even get a slight discount to the awesome lawn professional because of your friend who introduced you!
Here is another context:
I received a lot of readings from many of you. If you introduce one of your peers to get my help i might consider cutting them a nice deal than if they just reached out to me without an introduction!
Is not a big ask and the introduction can be anything you see as meaningful. None of these are mandatory or can be seen as interests only!
Even to spiritualist churches. You could offer your service to one the members you could make an ask if they would like to introduce you to some of the members attending or the church staff maybe you wish to offer a free demonstration or healing service!
Trust me an introduction goes a looooong way
Why is this one effective? Simple, you are already known by the person you offer your service too, they would already built rapport with you. It is still their choice and not mandatory.
Here’s how you can ask:
Thank you for working with me i hope i was able to address your need and possibly create a space for healing for you!! I’d really love to share this work with others too I understand you attend often xyz Church would it be possible to be introduced to one of the staff members I’d love to bring my service anytime it works for them!
I know it might be a big ask so no worry or rush I am absolutely grateful for your consideration!
Obviously you can change the context as it makes sense to you.
Choose something that makes sense to you. But for the sake of all of us, ASK something.
