I know in the spiritualist movement, especially in the UK charging for this work is a sensitive topic. This article is meant to be informative in nature and my own personal thoughts. There is absolutely no right or wrong and ultimately the choice is yours if you are offering your service for free, as skill exchange or monetary.

Money is Energy. How are you refilling the cup that you serve from?

Since the beginning of times long long ago, people have traded goods, services, labor, education, and entertainment.
Sometimes it was a fair exchange of helping each other sometimes it was a monetary exchange. Even today neighbors trade skills to help each other. Or drinks and dinner.
If you look back at different teachings and beliefs you may find something of the following: “everyone should learn a trade and enjoy the labor of their work” - somewhere around those lines.
After some time people have traded currency or money for services, products, work.
It was and is an exchange of service.
Labor is energy. Action is energy. When a service is done it naturally has a balance of energy by exchanging with another energy. Usually Money.
When working with people as a service or even at McDonalds - time and labor is exchanged for money.
When working with people, their emotions, therapy - the time of the specialist is exchanged for money. So there is a fair compensation for the time of the specialist, not the outcome.
Psychologists - charge money they work with people
Coaches - charge money they work with people
Yoga practitioners - charge money they work with people
Personal trainers - charge money they work with people
The “shall not be spoken about” psychic mediums, healers, astrologists, tarot readers - they spend time and “should” charge for their time. Not the outcome.
Money usually replenishes one’s cup to continue to serve
I know this makes sense. Let’s continue
Why should one charge or not?
It’s absolutely everyone’s choice. If one is in a place of good monetary stability they could continue to donate their time and help and i hope to continue to see many generous people and foundations ❤️

There’s many who have other jobs and practice psychic mediumship because they either wish to explore or serve people. Often it’s free and sometimes as a paid service.
I respect both parties.
But today i will focus on why charging for your service is crucial.
Many professionals i have spoken to including yours have invested personal time, family time, money, and maybe had to split ways with family or friends due to our “hobbies”
It is a very tough path you will often see mediums who are dealing with various medical difficulties, with time. Not to mention to constant blood sugar drops and chocolate cravings yummy 😍 then taking it a lot of the emotions of the people you work with often deep sensitive feelings and sometimes energizing fun emotions but more tears usually…It’s a profound work meant to create a space for transformation after all.
While they can be healing in nature for the sitter and the medium they do have an energy, mental and physical cost for the medium along with time the medium will never be able to have back
In my opinion there must be some sort of fair exchange for one’s commitment to develop and work with people. If they do charge this should be clearly stated - I promise you no one is coming to ask your help if you are not the right fit for them, financially too.
Just some of my thoughts after investing over $20,000 over the years in Mediumship and Personal Development.
Often mediums have other jobs besides being a full-time medium but there’s the ones who have committed 100% to serve people and must get some fair compensation.
And I try to speak and understand each side but let’s be honest we need money to survive.
When you charge for your time you help your future mentors too. They often depend on you being able to continue to train with them. If you don’t have extra funds then most likely you can’t attend their events. Consider this cycle… Will there actually continue to be mentors to teach this sacred science?
These are questions for each depending on your own circumstances and personal views.
I do charge.
And i always overdeliver i am making sure that the clients i work with get 10 times their money’s worth
Money creates abundance of positivity, energy, development opportunities, a space for your own relaxation and personal growth, your happiness, your family’s happiness and this will reflect in the quality of your work.
I promise you nobody wants a free reading for an angered person… everyone wants to find some upliftment and good quality of service nobody wants to waste their time getting unrelated information from a medium who has not taken care of their personal development
Yes there are some awesome people giving great readings for free and I wish them the best hopefully they can continue to keep offering and help
But burnout is a sure thing.. consistency and offering this service for the future generations must be backed.
Charging creates space to help the ones who can’t afford and really need help because you are in a position of high energy and your physical needs are met too
When you charge you are able to do even more good for the ones who can pay and the ones who can’t.
The choice is yours. Everything is good.
Remember Charities need donations to keep the lights on too.
Different ways to charge online
Make it clear that you do charge. Yes you are here to serve but your time costs money.
Define clearly what you do, how you help, how much you charge, what are the outcomes.
If you work online is best to charge before your sessions upfront. It provides commitment from both parties, you are a professional and always deliver. Your client knows they are in best care. Your clients know you come from a place of abundance and high positive energy.
Your clients trust that you have taken your time to develop your skills. Your experience, time dedicated and worth of mouth speaks for itself.
You are not a fortune teller. You are a guide creating a safe space for transformation.
You are working consistently, your are there for your clients when they need your paid service. They can always count on you.
In a time of hobby psychics be the professional. This is your passion. This is what you dedicate everything towards. This is how you become the best.
Professionals charge for their time. They respect their time and the client’s time.
I believe in standing behind your experience and your value. Offer a moneyback guarantee if your client is unhappy for absolutely any reason offer them the possibility of a full refund within the session or 24 hours.
Is not wrong it’s actually coming from a good place of standing behind your word.
You deeply care about your clients. Is not always about money. Let the session be on you if you feel generous.
If you are still not ready to charge. Consider donation based appointments - ask them to make a donation to you after their session anything they feel comfortable.
If this still does not work for you - ask them to share a public testimonial about you and your website.
Before you work have a strong disclaimer and terms and conditions of what can be expected and what you don’t do.
Have a few informative videos to prepare your client for the appointment. Spend the time together actually working not talking logistics.
And if you have no idea how much you should charge - this will help
You are not like anyone else. You don’t have to follow the price list of someone else.
You are unique. You provide an unique experience for your client.
Only you know your training and your own sacrifices and costs associated.
I know you will find the right balance to charge.
I feel though sessions can’t be longer than 40 minutes for a psychic mediumistic appointment.
